Eddie Jackson's Time Out
Ed Jackson's Time Out is a New York Blues influenced band the has played everywhere from Chicago's famed Buddy Guy's Club to BB Kings in New York. Formally back up musician to all of the areas’ best bands, Eddie has stepped out on his own and earned a place at WestFest's main stage. Collectively, the Time Out is Linda Pino, Adam Valk, John Becton, Guy Powell and Eddie Jackson.
Our very own Julia Gargano is making her triumphant return to the WestFest 14 stage. After her successful appearance on "American Idol " ( Where she got a big hug from Katy Perry who recognized her talent", Julia is busy building her career releasing one song after another.
She became a regular at New York's iconic Bitter End at 13 and made her first appearance at WestFest 10 years ago at 14 years old. Julia is known for her soulful vocals and passionate lyrics . Give a listen to "Growing Pains" and "You Don't Get To", among many others. All we can say is, " Welcome Home Julia, we knew all along."
joan caddell and the Midnight Choir
Hometown favorites, Joan Caddell & the Midnight Choir, return this year for WestFest 14. With a songbook that straddles several different genres, JCMC embodies a unique style best described as Americana pop rock with a little country on the side. They play their eclectic mix of cover songs and uplifting originals in venues throughout Staten Island and in NYC clubs.
Venturing away from the Empire State, JCMC have also performed in New Orleans, Newport Rhode Island, Boston, and Nova Scotia, Canada. JCMC was awarded “In House Favorite Band” and Staten Island winner in NYC Battles of the Boroughs and was also voted Best Original Band 3 times in the Staten Island Advance Readers Poll. Joan Caddell, a vocal powerhouse, has 3 CDs of original music available for purchase – “Almost Naked Truth,” “Piece of Heaven,” and “Divine Women.”
Ms. Olivia Rose Okin is a 15 year old Rising Sophomore instrumental music student at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Performance Arts. She has performed at countless group as well as honors recitals playing a diverse Repertoire of contemporary and classical compositions.
Outside of LaGuardia Olivia plays piano with St. Bernard Parish as a guest accompanist for The Adult Choir, as well as the pianist for The Contemporary Youth Ensemble.
As a new resident of Westerleigh she is honored and proud to be part of making beautiful music at the Westerleigh Folk and Art Festival 2021!

Up from Virginia, The Grassland Bluegrass Band is keeping the Bluegrass tradition of Flatts & Scruggs, The Stanley and Bill Monroe alive. Grassland has appeared in multiple Bluegrass festivals throughout The South for the last 10 years, playing a little something for everyone. So, put on your dancing shoes and bring your dance partner for a guaranteed good time.

With about 200 years of musical experience The Jeff Mason Groups knows its way around a playlist. Doing mostly originals songs and their own take on a few classic, JMG knows how to keep it fun. The Jeff Mason Group is Jeff Mason, Jim Indelicato, Bill Delaney, Jeff Goodhartz and Joan Moore.
Rob Santanglo is a singer songwriters that has performed extensively throughout the New York Tri State area with multiple groups, including The Doctors and Brass Trax.He is the lead vocalist for Street Corner Kings Rob has most recently released singles America, Can't Quite & Six Feet Apart. He also recorded the title track for the movie "Scars Of A Predator".
The Sri Lankan Dance Academy of New York
The Sri Lankan Dance Academy of New York's mission is to preserve the significant cultural and artistic heritage of Sri Lanka in America through both traditional and contemporary drumming and dancing. Having watched and enjoyed their past performances at the annual Sri Lankan festival we are very excited to have them at WestFest 14
The Christ Church Ukesters
The Christ Church Ukesters , under the direction of Karlus Trapp have been making joyful music since 2015 . Today's members include, Danali Browne , Anoura Bwowne, Jermaine and Daniel Trapp and George Villon . WestFest is pleased to offer a stage for this talented young group.
Staten Island Steel Pan Orchestra
The Staten Island Steel Pan Orchestra is an integral part of the WeCreate After School Program. It provides positive activities for teens and younger children. We heard them and were totally charmed. Under the leadership of Dr. Aurelia Curtis they have played all over Staten Island. These local young musicians present their own take on today's popular music. Get ready for a real treat .
Ronit Granot & The Invisible Strings
A passionate musician, Ronit captivates audiences with her strong vocals and emotive yet honest lyrics. Her sound is a melting pot of soul, roots and folk with hints of Middle Eastern inspired melody, [reflecting] her Israeli heritage. Ronit started busking with friends on the sidewalks of her home town Melbourne (Australia) and has since performed around the world at venues like the Glastonbury festival in the UK. Ronit and her band ‘The invisible strings’ are set to release their new album this coming September.
