From New Orleans, up the Mississippi, and right back to New York City, the B’s take their cues from America’s best musical traditions.  Get ready for a good time!  Members include: Gary Moore, Joan Moore, Russ Anixter and Allison Mackey.

Eddie Jackson's Time Out

Ed Jackson's Time Out is a New York Blues influenced band the has played everywhere from Chicago's famed Buddy Guy's Club to BB Kings in New York.  Formally back up musician to all of the areas’ best bands,  Eddie has stepped out on his own and earned a place at WestFest's main stage.  Collectively, the Time Out is Linda Pino, Adam Valk, John Becton, Guy Powell and Eddie Jackson.

Lisa Scherma Band

New York Blue Hall of Fame Inductee,  Lisa Scherma, is a singer/songwriter/guitarist whose musical styles include blues, country, folk, jazz and rock.  She considers herself a musical storyteller believing the most important thing is telling the story right; musically, vocally and emotionally. Her debut CD, Here In My Heart, was released in January, 2016. 

Along with exceptionally talented band members, lead guitarist and fellow New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee, Guy Michetti, bassist, Gardy Louis and drummer Mike Kane. Lisa has been in the studio working on a few CDs to be released throughout next year. Lisa and Guy have an acoustic CD, entitled Time Flies, coming out soon. Yankee Rebels

Together since the 1960's, the Yankee Rebels are a sure fire crowd pleaser just daring you to get up and dance. The band that has won 8 first place awards in Bluegrass competition brings traditional style Bluegrass that sounds at home in the 21th Century. They are: Art Dekhayer, Les Bayer, Mark Farrell, Bill Christophersen and Allen Cohen. 

joan caddell and the Midnight Choir

Hometown favorites, Joan Caddell & the Midnight Choir, return this year for WestFest 12! With a songbook that straddles several different genres, JCMC embodies a unique style best described as Americana pop rock with a little country on the side. They play their eclectic mix of cover songs and uplifting originals in venues throughout Staten Island and in NYC clubs.

 

Venturing away from the Empire State, JCMC have also performed in New Orleans, Newport Rhode Island, Boston, and Nova Scotia, Canada. JCMC was awarded “In House Favorite Band” and Staten Island winner in NYC Battles of the Boroughs and was also voted Best Original Band 3 times in the Staten Island Advance Readers Poll. Joan Caddell, a vocal powerhouse, has 3 CDs of original music available for purchase – “Almost Naked Truth,” “Piece of Heaven,” and “Divine Women.”

Tom Cintula & The Buffalo 24

From S.I., N.Y., Tom Cintula & the Buffalo 24 is an accomplished band playing a mix of R&B, Folk, Pop and Rock music.  They formed in Wagner College and have played at popular Tri-State venues such as Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, The Living Room, Spin and Arlene’s Grocery.  They have also opened for such well known acts as Kansas and The Fixx.  Members are: Tom Cintula, Andrew Graziano, Siobhan Holt Cintula, Dorian Lake, Tony Rodriguez, Josh Steinhart, Nick Simone and Michael Sutton.  Check them out at www.tomcintula.tumblr.com

Queen Tipsy

QUEEN TIPSY vocalist Phyllis Forman has been performing since 2002 playing regularly at S.I. and Manhattan establishments as well as regular shows at the historic Saint George theatre and the theatre at Snug Harbor.

 

Queen Tipsy performs an eclectic mix of jazz, blues and soulful takes on popular music perfect for lounges, bars, and restaurants. 

Joining vocalist Phyllis Forman is her husband, bass player, Rick Peterson.  Rotating personnel include NYC piano bar veteran Karen Brown, SI’s own Karlus Trapp, and everyone’s favorite drummer Nat Seeley.

 

Queen Tipsy released a CD of all original material in 2012 titled "Blue Passion". Over the years they have been recipients of several grants for artistic excellence, nominated SI’s favorite Diva and inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame.

The Meadow Stage

Tom Daily

Tom Daily has been involved with Westfest from the beginning.  Besides serving as the EMCEE at all the Westfest shows, he is making his eighth appearance as a performer.  He's played at Westfest in bands, trios and a duo with his wife, Susan.  A real trooper, once, Tom had jumped in for an unscheduled set and on another occasion, played on the gazebo in the pouring rain to about 40 people.  This year, it's Tom & his guitar, accompanied by festival organizer Jim Indell (and maybe some surprise guests).  

 Resonate

Tina Kenny

From down under by way of Brooklyn, NY, Resonate is a three piece band formed for the musical compositions of Joe Var Veri. It's a modern blend of classic rock, contemporary and country music.  Members include: Joe Var Veri, John Kosciusko and Bert Jantsch. 

The Indellibles

WestFest 12 welcomes back The Indellibles. This fun loving group is known for their upbeat tunes and quirky lyrics . Lead singer, Jim Indell, is a veteran of the Greenwich Village Coffee house circuit and is the founder of the Westerleigh Folk Festival. To date, they have 2 CDs to their credit: "Can I Sleep Here Tonight ?" and "Star-Crossed".   The Indellibles are: Jim Indell, Al Sklar, Joanne Gleich and Joan Caddell.

Crossfire Guitar Ensemble

Crossfire Guitar Ensemble 

Founded in 2004 by guitarist Dennis Malenfant, Crossfire Guitar Ensemble has been gigging all over the New York Area.  After taking a few years off to work as a musician on cruise ships, the ensemble are back with a new sound featuring vocals and spectacular instrumentals.  Members include: Dennis Malenfant, Joe Sweeney, Jack Stapleton, Kevin L. and Vinny Bunicelli.

Gules

WestFest welcomes newcomer Gules (pronounced Jewels) to our Meadow stage.  Composing songs with intricate lyrics and captivating melodies, Gules is one of the most promising young performers.  She's been gigging all over the Tri-state area and premiering her new CD "Harmony Mistress". 

Anthony DeRoss

Anthony DeRoss is a solo artist who’s style is inspired by a mixture of Pop, Singer/Songwriter and R&B genres. He has a smooth sound yet powerful vocals with a warm guitar and poetic lyrics.  Anthony's 1st CD is called "Wrong Reasons".
